Choice Advisers will make the school admissions process clearer, fairer and more equitable by supporting those families most in need of help. They will support parents through the process of making an important decision that will impact on their children's lives, particularly enabling those children most at risk of slipping through the net to have the best possible start to their secondary school careers.

Welcome to the Choice Advisers Support & Quality Assurance Network

Welcome to the Choice Advisers Support & Quality Assurance Network

The Choice Advice Support and Quality Assurance Network is a DCSF funded service aiming to support Choice Advisers in providing impartial advice to parents navigating the school admissions system.

Every parent wants their child to attend a good school and we aim to help Choice Advisers give practical support to parents to enable them to make the best choices for their child.

Through developing accreditation, organising regional events, providing opportunities to share good practice and on-line support, the network aims to ensure Choice Advisers are well-equipped to have a real impact on ensuring all parents are armed with the information they need to find the right school for their child.

We also work with and support Local Authorities in ensuring the impartiality and quality-assurance of the Choice Adviser service.

Three new departments were set up by the Prime Minister on 28 June 2007. They replace the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) is responsible for improving the focus on all aspects of policy affecting children and young people, as part of the Government’s aim to deliver educational excellence.
